Our Story

Up Foundation was established to create more opportunities for tamariki and their whanau in Wellington City and beyond, to participate in community-led sport, drama, music and other activities

In speaking to community groups, we identified that ‘working class’ kids and tamariki are under-represented in community-led activities.

We develop activities for Year 2- 8 students and their whānau to help fill this gap.

Levelling the playing field – ‘Fee free’

All programmes facilitated by Up Foundation are fully funded and there is not cost for tamariki and their whānau to participate.

Anyone who wants to take part in our programmes is welcome to attend regardless of gender, ethnicity or socio-economic background.
